Wow, what a weekend, Mafeking 2015 was a success despite the English weather we had. Congratulations to the Raccoon Patrol who won top honors for winning the overall Patrol category and to Carter Wagner who won Best Patrol Leader. Special recognition to Commander Huner and his band of Boer Soldiers for adding a new dimension to the Mafeking challenge. The weekend would not have happened without all the adult support including Sergeant-Major Allen and Lieutenant Craig who kept us feed and so many others. One hundred and sixteen years ago Baden Powell saw firsthand how a young man can step up and lead when in trusted with responsibility. That tradition lives on today with Boy Scouts growing in Character and Leadership through the outdoor program.
