On November 7th, 2015. The Boy Scouts of Troop 97 were sent to Mafeking,South Africa (which is actually Camp Sequoyah Scout Reservation) and were enlisted as British cadets to help win against the Dutch Boars(Older Scouts). Actually, the Boy Scouts were split into patrols, and competed in famous campground games, such as Kim’s Game, Map the Enemy Encampment, etc, as they avoided being splashed with water balloons and water guns by the Boars. The Raccoon patrol reigned supreme over the champion Blue Beaver patrol, who had won twice in a row. Collin Melville won the patrol leader award at Mafeking. The Mafeking campout has always been, and will continue to be a tradition of Troop 97, for Mafeking was the creation of Scouting itself.  “
