Crossing over to Boy Scouts is a big step for Webelos and Parents.  To help with the transition Troop 97 will have an Open House on Wednesday, January 20th at 7:15 pm to not only welcome you to Boy Scouts but also help with transition. During the Open House meeting Webelos will be integrated with the patrols to participate in a series of fun Scouting games.  During the activity parents will have a chance participate in a Boy Scout Q&A session. We will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall beneath the main sanctuary at Trinity United Methodist Church

Some of our upcoming Troop events include:

Troop 97 Open House – Wednesday January 20 
This is a great time for Webelos II to visit a Boy Scout meeting.  The Webelos will have an opportunity to interact with the Boy Scouts through some fun Scout games.  There will be a parent meeting for new parents to ask questions.

Vulcan District Camporee – February 20 – 21 
We invite Webelos II to come out on Saturday and participate in Webelos activities then spend the night Saturday night with the Troop.

Camping 101 – April 8 – 10 
The new scouts will be camping together and learning the skills to camp with Boy Scouts.

Summer Camp –  June 26 – July 2
Troop 97 will be going to Camp Woodruff located in North Georgia.

Not In a Scouting?

If you are a boy who is 11 years old, or one who has completed the fifth grade but is not yet 18 years old. You can join Boy Scouts at any time. Contact the troop or come to any of our Wednesday night meetings to learn more.
