Have you ever wondered what it is like to witness something out of the Bible? On October 3rd-4th 2015, the Boy Scouts of Troop 97 did experience the Walls of Jericho, a magnificent rock face that has stood for a long time. The campout required backpacking, so the boys packed their bags and hiked 5-6 miles into the Alabama wilderness. When they reached camp, the boys dropped their bags and hiked a 2-3 mile trail to the majestic walls. They were witness to the great Walls of Jericho and also climbed the wall to see the rest of the rock face. Even though the weather was rainy and the trails were slippery, nothing stopped these brave young men from witnessing an image of God’s great creation. On Sunday October 4th, the scouts left these walls, with many wonderful stories to tell.
